A lot of homes are still running on outdated lighting setups - a single overhead fixture in the middle of the room, or worse, a builder-grade fixture that never really lit the space properly. It makes rooms feel smaller and dimmer than they need to be. That's exactly the kind of situation we tackled here across three different rooms in one home.

Starting with the living room - we installed a full spread of recessed can lights across the ceiling. The layout we used pulls light evenly across the whole room rather than dumping it all in one spot. You get that clean, open feel without any harsh shadows or dark corners. It's a big difference compared to what most living rooms are working with originally.

The bathroom and dressing area got the same treatment. Old vanity-bar style fixtures are fine, but recessed lighting above a mirror is a game-changer for getting ready in the morning. The light hits your face evenly, which is exactly what you want in a space like that. We ran the cans right into the ceiling and kept everything tight and flush - no bulky hardware sticking out.

What we really like about jobs like this is that the upgrade isn't just cosmetic. Swapping to modern LED recessed fixtures cuts down on energy use and the bulbs last significantly longer than what most people have running right now. So you're not just getting a better-looking space - you're getting one that costs less to light over time. That's a win on both ends.

Recessed and can lighting is one of the most requested upgrades we do, and it's not hard to see why. It works in almost any room, it's low-profile, and the results speak for themselves. Whether it's a living room, bathroom, closet area, or all three - we've got the process dialed in.
