Location: Almaden Valley, San Jose, CA · Completed: October 2026 · Type: Chandelier installation, recessed lighting
The project
An Almaden Valley homeowner wanted to update their lighting in two ways: three chandeliers hung from high ceilings, and modern LED lighting in a kitchen still using old CFL fixtures.
What we did
Installed 3 chandeliers on high ceilings
Removed the old CFL lights in the kitchen
Installed 8 new LED recessed lights in the kitchen
Tested all fixtures and switching
The result
Three chandeliers hung level and secure overhead, and a kitchen with bright, even LED lighting in place of dim, slow-to-warm-up CFLs.
Still have CFL lights in your kitchen?
Many kitchens from the 1990s and 2000s were built with CFL recessed cans or fluorescent fixtures. They’re slow to warm up, tend to flicker as they age, and their bulbs and ballasts are getting harder to find. Replacing them with LED recessed lights gives brighter, instant-on light, uses less energy, and usually fits the existing ceiling openings or needs only minor patching.
