A homeowner in Willow Glen needed a Level 2 charger installed - but the catch was that the charger location was far from the main panel. That's a situation we run into a lot with older San Jose homes. The good news is that it's very solvable, and the result can look just as clean as a straightforward install.
We ran a dedicated 60A circuit from the panel, routing it through the crawl space to get it under the house and out to the charger location. That approach keeps everything hidden - no conduit snaking across exterior walls, no cutting into finished surfaces inside. The crawl space is one of the cleanest paths available in homes that have one, and Willow Glen has plenty of them.
Once the circuit was in place, we mounted the Emporia Pro and completed the full hookup and setup. The Emporia Pro is a solid hardwired unit - it supports up to 48A of continuous charging on a 60A circuit, which is more than enough to fully charge most EVs overnight. No more relying on a slow Level 1 outlet.
If your panel isn't right next to where you want the charger, that doesn't mean you're stuck with a messy install. It just means the routing takes a little more planning. That's what we do.
